Panthers News · Parkview Ranked Top Sports High School in Georgia

This is the best high school for sports in Georgia, according to a new analysis.

When it comes to the number of state and national championships, all-time wins, record streaks, and the number of professional athletes produced, Georgia’s Parkview High School is the clear winner.

That’s according to a recent analysis from Stadium Talk, which compared high school sports stats across the country to find the best school in each state for student athletes.

Gwinnett County’s Parkview High has racked up 57 state championships and three national championships since it opened in 1976.

Though the Lilburn school is known for its stellar baseball team, Parkview has had success in football and soccer. In fact, the school’s soccer team has won 16 state titles.

Notable alumni include Jeff “Frenchy” Francoeur of the Atlanta Braves, Olympic gold medal-winning swimmer Eric Shanteau and Seattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson.

Parkview is also part of the 13th best district in the state (Gwinnett County Public Schools), according to education and real estate analysis site Niche.com.

The ranking is based on surveys from students and teachers, plus test scores and school data.
